Countryside

SAPST has implemented its project of eco-touristic station whose mission is to unify local people, through socio-economic strengthening actions of neighboring villages.

This development process is concretized through the project of countryside’s circuits and it is based on 3 main axes:

AXIS 1 - ECOLOGICAL

  • Promotion of local products (Argan, honey, local crafts);
  • Promotion of food-producing agriculture (wheat, aromatic plants, banana trees, papayas);
  • Emphasis of local architecture (stone and adobe);
  • Promotion of the Region's natural reserves and their biodiversity.

AXIS 2 - ECONOMIC

  • Creation of direct and indirect jobs;
  • Support for cooperatives and local associations;
  • Diversification of regional touristic offers;
  • Strengthening of local infrastructures (signposting, local communities).

AXIS 3 - SOCIAL

  • Creating resources for the benefit of neighboring rural populations;
  • Promotion of local Berber culture and the Region's identity to visitors;
  • Encouragement of regional women's initiatives.

DISCOVERING NEW DESTINATIONS

Placing the development of the countryside circuits at the heart of its concerns, SAPST offers a rich and varied program highlighting all economic, territorial, social and environmental assets of the region.

This development process consists of several phases, starting with the development and equipping of circuit stages. This is done via the rehabilitation of certain premises in the means necessary for the restoration accommodation and installation of road signs at level of each staging point, thus showing its historical, cultural and environmental value.

In order to allow a complete and successful development, a promotion of the circuit stages was also planned through the development and distribution of communication media, such as travel books or flyers. These different media will be made available to travel agencies for the marketing of these circuits.
